Unleash the True Power of Your Vehicle with Performance Exhaust Parts

On paper, the job of an exhaust system looks like a fairly easy one but with the speed at which it needs to expel the gasses everything gets way more complicated than you think. While a lot of people will go ahead and upgrade the whole exhaust system but there are some key parts that can deliver the exact same results and benefits. You can spend less to get the same performance improvements by just knowing the parts that have a greater impact.

Muffler

You don't have to go with a cat-back exhaust just to improve the airflow or to get rid of any rust and corrosion on the muffler. Getting the muffler on its own will still provide you with the same improvements as a whole cat back system and like all performance exhaust parts you won't have to worry about rust and corrosion.

Manifold

The exhaust manifold or the header is the very first part of an exhaust system which connects it to the engine's cylinder heads. usually on a stock manifold, there's only one tube that brings in the gasses from all the cylinders - this can lead to the gasses going back to the engine. To make sure your vehicle has good air flow you should consider getting an aftermarket manifold with individual tubes. These tubes feed the gasses from the cylinders with fewer restrictions as they usually come mandrel-bent rather than press-bent.

Oxygen Sensor

While new models have this part by default, older car models don't and it is a smart move if you install one. The reason why you need to install an oxygen sensor is simple - better fuel economy. This may not have a direct impact on your vehicle's performance, but it will manage how much air and how much fuel is used by the engine which will, in fact, help the engine use resources more efficiently. This way the engine won't have to work as hard in certain situations as it used to.

Downpipe

Air flow is probably the most significant factor here as the sole purpose of an exhaust system is to get the air from one point to the other without any obstacles in the way. Well, probably the part that can improve airflow the most out of all performance exhaust parts are the downpipes. Stock downpipes often come with tight corners which don't provide a smooth pathway for gasses to pass through. Mandrel bent downpipes are the best since the curves don't have wrinkles that prevent a continuous airflow, instead, they are smooth so the gasses can exit more easily.
